Everyone makes a point on Veterans Day and Memorial Day to thank our veterans for their service to our country. But what about the days in between?
Those of you (like me) who come from non-military families can probably relate to the feeling that we could (and should) be doing more for those who sacrifice so much to make our lives as wonderful as they are.
It’s time to change that!
The question is, HOW?
Well, there are any number of ways to show your support for our veterans. But I’m here to give you an easy one that you can do almost anytime.
Ready? Here it is…
Give them the gift of knowledge by spreading the truth about VA loans.
You see, the sad truth is so many people have misconceptions about the VA program. It’s like a bad rumor that makes its way across the internet.
I’ve even worked with active military members who had heard so much negative about the program that they didn’t want to bother applying.
You name the misconception, I've heard it:
Too much red tape.
Too hard to get approved.
The fees are too high.
I’ve got credit issues.
The fact is, the VA program is the single biggest blessing out there for our military families. And most of the misconceptions are, in fact, wrong.
VA loans have great rates.
VA loans have flexible credit guidelines.
VA loans offer a break on closing costs.
VA loans don’t require mortgage insurance.
VA loans don’t require a down payment.
But haha, wait! What about the red tape?
Yes, there is a fair bit of red tape when it comes to VA loans. But almost every mortgage has a certain amount of red tape.
So what? We wrap ourselves in the red tape every day in the mortgage business & it’s not that bad when you’ve been dealing with it for 20 years :)
Every member of our team truly loves assisting veterans by helping put them and their families into a home they can truly afford.
We believe we can change the world, one veteran at a time!
So please help us spread the word… send this to a friend. Share it on a social network. Text someone you know. Make sure they know the truth about how easy it is for them to get a home.
